Computing with E-Business Technology (MSc) - Full Time - Course Map

Each module taken by a student has a credit value (measured in Credit Accumulation and Transfer [CAT] points). Approximately 10 hours of total study time is required per CAT credit. A full-time year is equivalent to 180 CATs for students on a Postgraduate course. To achieve a postgraduate award a student must accumulate a particular number of CATs at Level 7 as illustrated below: Masters Degree: 180 CATs

To complete your programme you must pass the following compulsory modules:
COM401: Internet Technology and Interface Design 20
COM402: Project Management 20
COM403: Research Method and Professional Issues 20
COM404: Dissertation
Prerequisites: Before taking this module you must pass COM403 or pass COM430		 60
COM411: E-Business Languages 20
COM412: E-Business Implementation
Prerequisites: Before taking this module you must pass COM411		 20
To complete your programme you must pass a minimum of 20 credits from the following:
COM441: IS/IT and Management 20
COM461: Software Engineering 20
COM471: Information Security 20
To complete your programme you must pass a minimum of 15 credits from the following:
COM404: Dissertation
Prerequisites: Before taking this module you must pass COM403 or pass COM430		 60
COM415: e-Business Languages 15
COM416: e-Business Implementation
Prerequisites: Before taking this module you must pass COM415		 15
COM445: IS Management 15
COM446: Business Systems, Applications and Management 15
COM465: Programming Languages and Dependability 15
COM466: Development of Dependable Software 15
COM475: Information Security Management 15
COM476: Network Security 15
COM491: Professional Practice in Computing 15
COM492: IT Project Management 15
COM493: Digital Innovation and Usability 15
