Brief Description | The success of Electronic business (e-Business) applications depends on the integration of several components, typically database, web pages and scripting elements. This module provides an opportunity for students to design, build and test a small e-Business system. |

Learning Outcomes | 1. show a deep and systematic understanding of the potential strengths and weaknesses of a system built on the infrastructure of the World Wide Web 2. critically analyse, interpret and evaluate a simple business problem to design and build a functional, secure and robust web-based system, applying relevant technologies such as the application of recognised design patterns, client-side and server-side scripts, and appropriate testing techniques 3. critically evaluate the selection of appropriate advanced methodological approaches and their effective use in a given design critically evaluate the implementation with respect to key business needs such as integrity, security and privacy |
