Brief Description | Electronic business (e-Business) applications are often based mark-up languages and scripts. This module will focus on the knowledge and skills required to develop such systems. |

Learning Outcomes | A student passing this module should be able to: 1. demonstrate a deep and systematic understanding of the possibilities and constraints of mark-up languages and their interrelationship with e-business applications 2. create Web pages incorporating client-side and server-side scripts, demonstrating originality and creativity 3. analyse the structure of data and creatively apply appropriate data interchange technology 4. determine, use and evaluate appropriate methodologies and approaches to delivery of web pages 5. demonstrate an understanding of current developments in standard protocols and how these affect the way the knowledge base is interpreted selects appropriate advanced methodological approaches to the design of web pages and critically evaluates their effectiveness |
