Advanced Practice (Health) (Postgraduate Diploma) - Full Time - Course Map

Each module taken by a student has a credit value (measured in Credit Accumulation and Transfer [CAT] points). Approximately 10 hours of total study time is required per CAT credit. A full-time year is equivalent to 180 CATs for students on a Postgraduate course. To achieve a postgraduate award a student must accumulate a particular number of CATs at Level 7 as illustrated below: Postgraduate Diploma: 120 CATs

APH403: Demonstrating Work Based Competency in Health Practice 20
APH499: Methods of Enquiry 20
To complete your programme you must pass a minimum of 20 credits from the following:
APH401: Management of Long Term Conditions 20
APH402: Health Assessment and Diagnostics 20
APH404: The Management of Acute Conditions 20
APH405: The Context of Advanced Professional Health Practice 20
APH406: Public Health 20
APH407: Teaching, Learning and Assessment in Practice 20
APH415: Introduction to Academic Practice in Higher Education 20
APH416: Enhancing Academic Practice in Higher Education 20
NMP401: Pharmacology for Advanced Practitioners 20
NMP402: Prescribing for Advanced Practitioners
Prerequisites: Before taking this module you must pass NMP401 and pass NMP402		 20
To complete your programme you must pass a minimum of 60 credits from the following:
APH401: Management of Long Term Conditions 20
APH402: Health Assessment and Diagnostics 20
APH403: Demonstrating Work Based Competency in Health Practice 20
APH406: Public Health 20
APH407: Teaching, Learning and Assessment in Practice 20
APH408: Work Based Learning 20
APH412: Principles of a Whole Person Approach to Health Care 30
APH415: Introduction to Academic Practice in Higher Education 20
APH416: Enhancing Academic Practice in Higher Education 20
APH417: Professional Practice 20
APH498: Independent Study 20
NMP401: Pharmacology for Advanced Practitioners 20
SWP401: Foundations in Leadership and Management 20
SWP403: Systematic Approach to the Management of Risk and Protection 20
SWP405: Inter-agency Working to Improve Outcomes for Children 20
