| Brief Description | This module is designed to enable students to demonstrate their ability and competence, and explicitly apply the learning undertaken through APH402 Health Assessment and Diagnosis. Through the development of an analytical and reflective approach, students will be able to evidence and critically appraise the links they have made between their ability to undertake health assessments and make a diagnosis, and the underpinning theory, and in doing so demonstrate their ability to be a reflective and competent practitioner, at an advanced level of practice. |
| Indicative Syllabus | a) The relationship between, and reflective integration of, theory and practice in the development of work-based processes and systems. b) The process of demonstrating competency within clinical settings. c) Portfolio construction and their use in demonstrating the application of workplace learning and demonstration of competency. |
| Learning Outcomes | On successful completion of the module the student will be able to:- The development of knowledge and understanding (subject specifi c) Demonstrate the knowledge and understanding required to underpin competent clinical practice Cognitive and intellectual skills (generic) Critically reflect on personal learning opportunities within the workplace and evaluate their relationship to the demonstration of clinical competency. Demonstrate initiative and originality within the problem-solving required to underpin competent clinical practice. Critically reflect on their ability to apply learning within workplace settings and evaluate its impact on their practice. Key / transferable Skills (generic) Demonstrate that they are a independent and critical self learner who has the ability to practice automously Practical skills (subject specific) Demonstrate that they can operate in complex and specialised contexts and have the ability to successfully apply transferable skills to different workplace settings. Demonstrate reflective writing and portfolio development skills. |
