Each module taken by a student has a credit value (measured in Credit Accumulation and Transfer [CAT] points). Approximately 10 hours of total study time is required per CAT credit. A full-time year is equivalent to 120 CATs for students on an Undergraduate course.
To achieve an undergraduate award a student must accumulate a particular number of CATs at Level 4, 5 or 6 as illustrated below:
