Brief Description | A semester 1 fieldtrip, typically of one week. Participation in Fieldweek will enable students to gain experience and knowledge of the characteristics of various built design projects and their associated context and culture. |
Indicative Syllabus | Field classes will involve preparatory tuition, between five and eight days work in a challenging and unfamiliar physical, social or cultural environment, and 'follow-up' sessions for evaluation and reflection. The residential period will include tutor-led introductions to themes and local environments and independent and/or group project work. Themes include landscape appreciation and analysis, comparative environmental management, and heritage interpretation. |
