Brief Description | This module is designed to provide the student with an understanding of strategic management principles, theory and analytical frameworks, which are then applied to the "leisure" industry to consider how organisations can manage their resources and competition, to achieve long run competitive advantage. |
Indicative Syllabus | The module takes the student through principles of strategic analysis, using a single case study for both assessments to emphasise the processual nature of prescriptive strategic management. The student is challenged to critically evaluate this process and its analytical frameworks in different "leisure" organisation contexts, and to synthesise their own critical understanding of the uses and limitations of strategic management principles. |
