Brief Description | This module is designed to provide Masters-level students with the necessary tools to carry out research in Theology. |
Indicative Syllabus | The module will introduce students to Learning Centre resources and the use of search facilities for online resources in the field of enquiry. The module will focus on key methods of interpretation in Biblical Studies and Theology including historical-critical, social-scientific, literary and feminist approaches. |
Learning Outcomes | On successful completion of the module students should be able to:

Learning and Teaching Activities | 200 hours consisting of Staff/student contact time of 20 hours (study day 5 hours; online discussion and tutorials 15 hours) plus 180 hours of student directed learning. The module will be delivered via a series of online mini-lectures using a combination of iMindMap 5, Camtasia Studio 7 and either MoviePlus X5 or Windows Live Movie Maker. There will also be one face-to-face study day and provision of various online interactive documents, digitised material and ongoing discussion including two weeks dedicated to online Q&A sessions with staff. All online material will be delivered via the VLE. |
