Brief Description | This module provides an opportunity for students to develop their practice based learning and experience, and to relate their academic studies to practice. In this module, students will be required to apply for their placement. Students will normally be engaged in substantive placements that comprise 70 hours work or community based experience (there may be some variation depending on the nature and detail of the placement). The placement can either be established through an opportunity presented to the course cohort for application, or it may be established by the student through independent study following successful negotiation with the Course Leader. Criminal Records Bureau clearance will be required. |
Indicative Syllabus | The exact content and assessment of the module will depend on the nature of the placement. However, a particular focus of the experience will be the development of the student’s ability to engage in reflective practice and to develop and maintain personal development plans and portfolios. |
