Brief Description | This module will develop the knowledge gained through the discipline-based modules at Level I and apply it to a community setting. It will examine the social and political context driving the need for community provision and explore the role that professionals from different sectors play in developing appropriate initiatives. |
Indicative Syllabus | The applied nature of this module will enable students to understand and evaluate how exercise is used in community-based initiatives to facilitate health, well-being and inclusion. The module will increase students’ awareness of the role of exercise in diverse community settings, specifically examining the importance of partnership work in this context. |
