Brief Description | This module will consider in detail the critical areas of attention, stress and individual difference and their impact on sports performance. The variables of attention and stress are crucial influences on performance and have detailed motor control and behavioural elements. Understanding how these variables influence performance, and can be altered to enhance performance, is of great value to the coach, performer or sport psychologist. |
Indicative Syllabus | The student will consider the inter-relationship between attention and stress, and examine how they affect performance. The student will also appreciate the moderating role that individual difference plays within the attention, stress and performance relationship. |
