Brief Description | This module is based on the premise that anatomically, physiologically and biomechanically 'children are not miniature adults'. This module is useful for students intending to become physical education teachers or coaches. |
Indicative Syllabus | Human physical development from birth to adulthood, focusing on skeletal development and injury risk; effects of the timing and tempo of the adolescent growth spurt; aerobic and anaerobic development; temperature regulation; dimensional analysis applied to children's performance; talent identification. |
