Brief Description | This module will focus on the detailed functional anatomy of the trunk and the common injuries associated with this area in the sporting environment. The theoretical basis for the use of joint mobilisations will be re-examined. Practical skills will include in-depth examination and assessment of spinal disorders, and the use of vertebral joint mobilisation as an assessment and treatment tool. |
Indicative Syllabus | The indicative content of this module will include: bony and muscular anatomy of the trunk; the nervous system; low back pain syndrome; disc pathologies; assessment of spinal dysfunction; vertebral joint mobilisations. |
