Brief Description | This module examines the role of Physical Education and School Sport in the lives of young people. Students will gain a broad understanding of the content of National Curriculum Physical Education (NCPE) in both primary and secondary schools and how this relates to current Government policy. Students will consider the opportunities currently promoted for participation in school sport and the links between Physical Education, School Sport and Community through examples and case studies. They will also consider how sporting talent is identified and nurtured. This module is intended for those students who would like to work in school sport development. |
