Brief Description | This module aims to equip the students with the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to design safe and effective exercise prescription in a gym environment. There is an option to an undertake industry recognised fitness instructor?s award (recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals) alongside this module (additional certification fee will be payable). |
Indicative Syllabus | Indicative content will include: client appraisal and assessment; exercise instruction; components of fitness; health and safety in a fitness environment; health benefits of physical activity; movement analysis; and an introduction to exercise for special populations. |
