Brief Description | This module aims to develop and consolidate skills for sports massage. The module will introduce students to the theoretical physiological / anatomical underpinning and practical application of massage techniques within the sport setting. |
Indicative Syllabus | The indicative content of the module will include: roles and responsibilities of a sports therapist; identification of contraindications to treatment and subsequent onward referral; biological systems relevant to sport message; and application of massage techniques. |
