Brief Description | This module will introduce students to the fundamentals of research in their chosen area of study. Students will explore the purposes of research in their particular field and consider the subsequent impact on the principles of project design, data collection and analysis. Students will be introduced to a range of typical approaches to research that will inform their studies, and they will develop core academic skills such as literature searching, referencing, data presentation and scientificwriting. |
Indicative Syllabus | The indicative content of this module will include: approaches to research; the purpose of research; literature searching, gathering trustworthy information; data presentation; reporting research; identifying and interpreting key research findings; and APA referencing. |
