Brief Description | An extended and supervised piece of work on an appropriate field based or library based topic chosen in consultation with course tutors. Students are encouraged to choose a topic that relates to their professional or ministerial practice or research interests and that meets the Learning Outcomes of the Award Title (i.e. must be in the field of Youth & Community Work and Applied Theology). All dissertation proposals must be agreed in accordance with Gloucestershire University research ethics policy. |
Indicative Syllabus | A 3,000 small research project (15%) (eg pilot of real-world research or literature review) and a 15 - 20,000 word dissertation (85%) produced to acceptable standards of literacy, numeracy and presentation on a topic of the student’s choice reflecting the title of the award (Reflective Practice and Applied Theology). |
