Brief Description

The aims of the module are to:
1        enable students to know and understand appropriate approaches to the planning and management of projects and personnel
2        explore concepts of partnership and interagency work
3        develop effective, efficient and ethical practice in people-based work

Indicative Syllabus This module will explore and analyse the skills, knowledge, and understanding necessary for the effective planning and management of people-based work.
Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of the module the student should be able to:

Knowledge and Understanding
a)       understand and apply management theory and practice into their context
b)       analyse the strengths and weaknesses of partnership and interagency work and its relevance to their context
c)       understand and demonstrate effective, efficient and ethical practice

d)       use a wide range of management skills and reflect on self as manager

Transferable Skills
e)       plan and file service development
