Brief Description | This is an opportunity for major and joint students to carry out a significant empirical study on negotiated topics. Empirical methods utilised may range from laboratory based experiments, survey work, observation, to discourse analysis, which students plan and carry out to present a final report. Students are matched with advisors who have knowledge of the specific topic under investigation. |
Indicative Syllabus | Students will be allocated a tutor with experience in the area of interest and an agreed title for the investigation will be formulated. Students will: a) prepare a seminar on the literature review and intended methodology. b) undertake an investigation. c) write a report on the investigation |
Learning Outcomes | i. Knowledge and Understanding By the end of the module students should have an increased knowledge and understanding of a chosen area in psychology.
