Brief Description | This module engages with issues around rural and/or urban landscape. The module will bring in current and historic landscape photography with students being introduced to considerations of landscape in relation to social, political and environmental perspectives. |
Indicative Syllabus | Practical project work will provide the opportunity to explore the technical and aesthetic demands of Landscape photography, as well as the historic ‘movements’ and approaches to documenting topography. Students will be guided towards questioning the implications of the appropriation of the landscape through photography. |
