Brief Description | This module develops knowledge from modules taken in L4 and requires students to demonstrate an increased level of skill. At L4 students identified and processed a crime scene, in L5 they must not only identify evidence, but collect and store it properly. The second block focuses on evidence based technologies which aid in the prevention and prediction of crime and risk which continues the theme of the use of various forms of science and scientific methods in the response to crime and criminality. |

Crime mapping: spatial and temporal analysis of known crimes to predict further crime Geographic profiling: spatial and temporal analysis of offending behaviours to predict demographics of offenders Risk assessment Risk management |
