Brief Description | This module provides the opportunity for students to pursue through independent study a research project on an aspect of the media of their choice. |
Indicative Syllabus | Students research an approved media-related topic suitable to their course and the subject expertise of staff members. They then prepare an essay of 4000 words. Advisory sessions with a tutor are organised at regular intervals and students are required to show clear evidence of wide critical reading and a theoretical approach. Sessions covering argument construction and development of appropriate research methodology will be provided. |
