Brief Description

This module will allow the student to gain advanced knowledge and skills in order to promote and present their work. They will create a dynamic and professional on-line presence and create a substantial DVD show-reel.

Indicative Syllabus

Students will create a professional on-line presence using a sophisticated collection of motion graphics in the form of a show-reel to promote and showcase their work via a personal website and hard copy DVD format. With a proposal, agreed with the tutor, from initial sketches and planning, students will decide on a number of pieces of work and create a format to make sure they reach the target audience. This will include research into online/offline promotion, branding/marketing and digital portfolio show-reels.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the module students will be able to demonstrate that they:

1. have an advanced understanding of website design

2. have a sophisticated grasp of core promotional concepts

3. have professional understanding of working within a modern on-line society

4. can perform advanced digital editing

5. can translate visual concepts into an online promotional tool

6. show a professional approach to time/project management
