Brief Description | This module provides the opportunity for students to produce and develop a professional, substantial industry standard animated movie. Time will be spent honing specialist skills applying relevant theory/production skills in a chosen genre. By the end of the module, all students will have a full production of a single piece of broadcast quality animated film showing attention to narrative and advance production and post-production techniques. |
Indicative Syllabus | The first half of the module will concentrate on pre-production development where students will dedicate themselves to a balance of theory research and animation practice relevant to the selected project. In the second half of the module students will finalize their work and through industry standard post production techniques produce a quality finished work to be evaluated. |
Learning Outcomes | A student passing this module should be able to: 1. Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of project management and planning 2. Demonstrate an ability to expand upon a narrative 3. Demonstrate advanced research and documentation capabilities 4. Demonstrate a mastery of technical skills within a chosen specialized area of production 5. Produce a professional industry standard animation 6. Demonstrate industry standard post production techniques |
