Brief Description | This module will explore ethical dilemmas and the rules and regulations that affect the way journalists and media producers communicate with audiences. From self-censorship to industry codes of practice, students will gain a greater awareness of the rights and responsibilities underpinning media production. |
Indicative Syllabus | Ethical dilemmas for different types of media industries; regulations under codes of conduct across broadcasting, newspapers, online and other media platforms; principles of self-censorship and other constraints that affect the media in general. |
