Brief Description | This module develops the skills learnt in Level 4 and introduces contemporary new-video techniques and theories. |
Indicative Syllabus | In this module, students will build on the work covered in year one with more advanced production ideas and techniques, such as the use of colour-keying and embedding links into video. Students will work on a series of small projects for a variety of platforms and touchpoints, such as hand-held devices, websites and internet ‘pop-ups’. |
Learning Outcomes | A student passing this module should be able to: 1. Demonstrate an ability to think outside of traditional programme-making constraints by producing work for at least two separate video platforms 2. Demonstrate a good working knowledge of more advanced and social-media specific production techniques such as colour-keying and embedding links 3. Demonstrate a development of programme-making ideas from Level 4 4. Produce higher-quality production materials and considered reflection on productions, incorporating production theory in planning and evaluation |
