In a short series of introductory lectures and seminars you will be introduced to how radio defines itself and its audience by the music it plays; the relationship between radio and the music industry; and the role of the radio DJ as cultural taste-maker in music.  You will analyse and compare the music policies, play-lists and styles of presentation from a range of stations and DJs. In a series of practical exercises you will practice the techniques used to devise, produce and present music programming for a range of audiences.
