Brief Description | This course introduces students to the technology and necessary principles involved in making short multi-platform videos. |
Indicative Syllabus | Introduce students to the CRM production equipment using a series of exercises to develop a good 'working knowledge', plus the associated theories such as focus and exposure. Students will then undertake two short summative assignments which will take the form of web-ready videos. |
Learning Outcomes | A student passing this module should be able to: 1. Understand the processes involved in producing a short video piece 2. Appreciate the role of planning and research in programme making 3. Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the production equipment 4. Demonstrate an entry-level command of the essential theories of programme-making (i.e. Focus, Exposure, Basic Editing etc.) 5. Plan and execute a successful production 6. Maintain good quality production support materials |
