Brief Description

The culminating video module requires students to produce a professional standard single camera production.

Indicative Syllabus

At this stage students are expected to use techniques gained from level I & II such as shot selection, framing and conversational editing creatively to produce a piece(s) which is a culmination of their learning and experience from the previous modules, as well as interpreting and exploring a specific aspect of film and media theory in a high quality piece.  Students are expected to work within specific job roles and are responsible for researching and undertaking their own role(s) to a high standard, in both production and support materials.

Learning Outcomes

i. Knowledge and Understanding
By the end of the module students should be able to demonstrate that they:
a) critically understand which roles best suit the abilities and aptitudes of members of the production team
b) are capable of devising and producing a single camera based programme and in so doing clearly demonstrate
dvanced knowledge of, and aesthetic and managerial control over, all aspects of the production process 



ii. Skills
Students should be able to demonstrate a professional attitude towards all aspects of production. In particular they will show a high level of knowledge of, and control over, one or more of the production roles:
a) producer
b) director
c) editor
d) P.A.
e) scriptwriter
f) cinematographer
g) sound technician
