Brief Description | The module aims to identify the key features of the contemporary adventure and sports tourism sector, its product base and management. Analysis of the tourism sector is conducted at local, regional and international levels. |
Indicative Syllabus | This module requires students to review the role of people and places in the adventure and sports tourism context. The module content will cover the areas of: balancing the needs of physical environments and people; principles of ecology and environmental management; managing for people and community led sport and adventure tourism; the use of artificial adventure and sport tourism environments and land use conflict management. |
