Brief Description

In this module students will further develop their acting, singing and dancing skills in preparation for external performances.

Indicative Syllabus

Students will build on the singing, acting and dancing they have studied previously and will audition for roles in a musical to be performed in an external theatre.

Learning Outcomes

A student passing this module should be able to:

  1. Engage creatively and critically with the creation and production of performance through a developed and sensitive understanding of appropriate performance vocabularies, techniques, structures and working methods.
  2. Work professionally and responsibly with practitioners and other students.
  3. Engage creatively and critically in appropriate independent research.
  4. Understand the theory and practice of the audience-performer relationship.
  5. Communicate effectively with a wide range of people and in a variety of formats.
