Brief Description | This module introduces students to the influences of culture on both organisations and their management style and also matters concerning consumer demand and behaviour. It highlights the significance of cultural diversity and protocol in the operation and management of businesses in the Leisure industries. |
Indicative Syllabus | Topics include: globalisation and culture; cultural diversity in global organisations; leadership in international management; intercultural communication; culture and the consumer decision-making process; cross- cultural perceptions of ethical management; management strategies for promoting increased cultural consciousness, and reconciliation of cultural differences in organisations. |
