Brief Description | This module considers the broader context within which professionals operate, including organisational, legal and regulatory frameworks and working with others. This provides a context for exploring the role of theprofessional in creating conditions that support children’s play. |
Indicative Syllabus | The module uses the framework of the Manchester Circles to consider how the professional might create conditions that support play, exploring theoretical perspectives on the physical and affective aspects of play spaces; a range of models for practice; organisational frameworks: policies and practices, marketing and management; cross sector working and working within communities, the legal and regulatory requirements, including child protection and health and safety. |
