Brief Description | Students will undertake a Dissertation of up to 10,000 words on an approved topic of their choice, using primary sources. |

Learning Outcomes | i. Knowledge and Understanding By the end of the module, students should be able to demonstrate: ( a) a detailed knowledge of their Dissertation topic and of the sources used in the Dissertation; ( b) greater understanding of the techniques used in writing History, in particular an understanding of appropriate methodologies and of the relationship between primary sources and the finished product of the historian.
