Indicative Syllabus | In the beginning philosophy was never considered to be simply an academic study taught by professors and to be learnt by rote by students, but a practice and guide to living. This module will examine philosophy as a way of life in ancient thought, how this was reawakened in the 19 th and 20 th centuries, and whether it can still be used to face the ethical and political issues that face us all in the present age. |
