Brief Description | This module will introduce students to some of the more recent debates, themes and issues surrounding the graphic design and illustration professions . |
Indicative Syllabus | This module will examine contemporary debates, themes, and issues relating to the graphic design and illustration professions including: Designer as author and designer as producer Ethics and social responsibility Propaganda and protest Global design Hand-made: beyond digital design Students will be required to analyse and discuss a variety of visual representations using a range of methodologies including semiology, ideology, and gender. |
