Brief Description | This module concentrates on the further development of ideas and the creative processes employed within the fast developing field of moving image. Students will be encouraged to produce a wide range of moving image solutions that explore structure and narrative and the communicative power of sound. |
Indicative Syllabus | The module commences with an introduction to moving image, exploring a wide range of subject material including visual techniques, narrative and story conventions. Students will be required to explore a given theme in which narrative may be told from a number of points of view and through experimentation with different genres. Students will gain insight into the processes of creating moving image through the exploration of abstract concepts and sequential sound and image. The process of generating ideas for moving image production constitute a major part of the module. Specific emphasis is placed on creative exploration via a series of exercises and practical projects. |
