Brief Description | What is the difference between a brand and a brand identity, what decisions need to be made in order to create effective brand communications? What strategies are developed in order to establish the foundations of a successful brand? This module aims to explore and examine a range of methodologies and pathways used in successful brand development. |
Indicative Syllabus | This module provides an insight into the creative industry and the development of brand identities. Students will be required to explore and develop effective and creative strategies in order to build awareness of what a successful brand needs to achieve. The module will commence with an introduction to advertising, branding and packaging and the consumer. It will also examine how brands have become an integral part of our contemporary society. Students will be encouraged to explore the power of advertising and packaging, through research and practical projects and will be required to deliver a wide range of creative solutions. |
