Brief Description

The aims of this module are for the students to realise a coherent major body of work through sustained practice over the whole academic year.

Indicative Syllabus

This compulsory module asks students to engage with the creation of a series or body of images. In this module students will develop an independent, considered and contextualised body of photographic work facilitated through group and individual tutorials. Emphasis will be on exploration and experimentation to establish a personal practice.

Learning Outcomes

i. Knowledge and understanding
On completion of this module students should be able to demonstrate:
a)  the ability to produce a consistent and coherent body of work that displays a relationship between research and practice and is the product of thorough critical reflection.
b) Produce work that pushes forward the students personal practice, demonstrates a concerted application of trial and error, and evidences a proper and natural conclusion of the work in an appropriate form



ii. Skills
a)  Demonstrate an advanced competency in the considered use of the appropriate photographic materials, technologies, techniques and materials.
b)  Present their work in a suitable, professional and considered way.
