Brief Description | This double module aims to familiarise students with the vast and complex range of modern literary theories so that it can be used as a critical resource across all the modern literary studies in the final year. |
Indicative Syllabus | This module will build on the knowledge gained on EX203, and will allow students to specialise in modern critical and cultural theories. Students will learn how linguistic, political cultural and ideological discourses shape textual production and reception. The module also pays attention to the relationship between critical practice and literary interpretation. |
