Brief Description | The module provides the opportunity for students to analyse the external planning and policy frameworks within which business events provision occurs. During the module students will examine the ways in which business events are influenced by a range of different planning and policy objectives that operate at an international, national and local context. |
Indicative Syllabus | This module builds on the knowledge and understanding of business events gained in EVM131. Students will utilise project work, developing a bid for a business event, in order to analyse political, legal, economic, social and environmental issues in relation to the planning of business events and the policies of a range of stakeholders. The module will, therefore, explore the various stakeholders that have the capacity to influence business events and how this has an impact on the bidding and developing of events and their marketing to target audiences. |
