Brief Description | This module investigates techniques for visualizing abstract or invisible phenomenon in real and virtual worlds. The module would be suited to a student who wished to obtain in-depth knowledge of current developments in 2D and 3D computer graphics and visualization techniques in order to explain complex ideas in a visual form. |
Indicative Syllabus | The module investigates the variety of techniques used to visualize data and complex concepts via computer graphics. Issues covered include data graphs, volume and vector visualization, 3D and VR visualization techniques for showing time, motion and emotion. Application areas for improving visualization by the use of appropriate animation are also explored.
