Brief Description | The module explores the development of enterprise information systems based on database technologies. The emphasis is on rapidly building information systems that are maintainable, scalable and provide high business value. The module gives the student skills in systems development, requirements management, agile development methods, database systems, application development tools, and information storage and retrieval. |
Indicative Syllabus | Efficiently developing large multi-user systems that meet high-value business needs. Project skills include workload management, project team management, requirements management, and systems development strategy. Technology skills include application development tools, SQL, database scripting languages, and essential skills in enterprise-level systems development. Theory and methodologies relevant to systems development will be studied and then applied. |
