Brief Description | This module tackles strategic people management issues raised by the emergence of the global operating context that most, if not all, businesses face today. |
Indicative Syllabus | An evaluation of strategic human resources management (SHRM) to debate the nature and practicality of human resource management (HRM) at a strategic level using examples from private, public and third sectors. This is followed by international and comparative human resource management topics to ground the debate in a global operating environment. The module concludes with an examination of the relative merits of available systems to strategically manage human resources and knowledge, and the sustainability of such strategies, from a theoretical, practice-based and policy perspective. |
