The aim of this module is related to a topical issue within the business management area. It will provide scope for the student to demonstrate their ability to learn independently, research, analyse, synthesise and evaluate appropriate literature. Students will select a title from a range that will be made available from advisers via the module tutor

You are required to select a question from a list generated by the Course team and to answer that question by:

1. Critically evaluating the information and literature, relating to the chosen title
2. Reflecting upon the alternative approaches adopted in the literature and commenting on their relative strengths and weaknesses
3. Analysing a problem or subject which for instance could be related to the “private sector”, “third sector” or “public sector”
4. Synthesising ideas from a range of sources into appropriate conclusions
5. Evaluating alternatives and make “policy” recommendations where appropriate

 A student passing this module should be able to demonstrate development in the following areas:

1. An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the topic under review (PLO1)
2. Cognitive skills at a level appropriate with level 6 (PLO4);
3. Demonstration of individual performance and practice to carry out in-depth research (PLO4,5);
4. Personal and enabling skills to demonstrate knowledge and application of that knowledge (PLO4,5,6).
