Brief Description | This module is about the management of change. Students will be encouraged to reflect critically on the nature and process of change in organisations. The module will focus on the strategic aspects of organisational change, using examples from the private sector, public sector and third sector. Finally, students will explore these at the levels of corporate decision-making and affected groups and individuals. |
Indicative Syllabus | This module focuses on environmental change and organisational response. This includes the nature of the change process; planned and unplanned change; politics of change and conflict resolution; organisational change and culture; and organisational change and structure; from a theoretical, practice and/or policy perspective. The role of managers and change agents will be considered as well as hard and soft models for change and finally evaluating change. |
