Brief Description | This module aims to provide students with an understanding of approaches to the teaching of Knowledge and Understanding of the World at Foundation Stage and several National Curriculum geography Breadth of Study units across KS1 and 2. |
Indicative Syllabus | The module will focus on several units of work at the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Each unit will be taught over several sessions in a manner which models the way the units should be taught with primary school learners. Each unit will explore a sequence of activities that will address geographical localities, themes and skills. There will be opportunities in this module for the students to investigate the potential of fieldwork in geographical learning. |
