Brief Description

Students will produce a structured programme of essential initial development: research and experimentation, planning roughs and visuals in preparation for their final projects. This should draw on a body of work begun at the end of level 5.

The nature of their planned outcomes will be identified, visualised and supported by an extensive and intensive preparation process.

In this module the students identify their course of study and their level 6 objectives: personal, professional, creative, research and practical,  and outline their strategy for achieving these within the project outlines they have established.

Indicative Syllabus p>Students will attend a series of lectures, workshops and tutorials, which will culminate in a formal ‘pitch’ where students will clearly identify their objectives and present a detailed scheme of work outlining their research starting-points, sources, planning, development and eventual outcomes. Study will be expected to be self-directed, with students managing their workload and objectives within the guidance of regular tutorials. Students will be assessed on their level of commitment to a sustained and in depth analysis of their personal development, current practice and future aspirations, supported by qualitative and quantative research, knowledge and evaluation of their strengths and areas for improvement, and professional presentation skills.
